With reference to your telegram 30th October Censor reports that no letter has been opened here addressed to Secretary of Navy Tashington. Two letters were opened and returned to sender during July as follows Harrison Shanghai to Proverisch Manila and Harrison to Stahl and Rumoker. These

letters were removed from ordinary rails as they were addressed to Statutory List Firms and returned

in accordance with instructions in force at the

time. They contained remittances.

Harrison not

given in Directory as Dental Surgeon of the Brooklyn but there is one of that name at Alongapo

who may have been on the Brooklyn at the time.
